B2MDL, the Manufacturing Data Lake, runs the enterprise solutions and consolidates every plant into one record, deployed for each customer on their own infrastructure with AI enabled. B2MES syncs natively to B2MDL, so the enterprise, and your AI platform, see every plant in one place.

The plant platform. Installed on premises on an edge server so the line keeps running whatever happens to the network, with the plant model, users and roles, workflows, e-signature, alarms, labelling and OT integration that the MES modules share. Natively syncs to B2MDL and integrates with ERP and other systems.

B2MDL
The Manufacturing Data Lake. Deployed for each customer on their own servers, in their data center or in their own cloud subscription, never as a shared service, and accessed over the internet. Runs QMS, NPD, Supply Chain, EHS and Asset Management, consolidates every plant's MES data, and carries the AI capabilities.

How they work together
The plant record goes up. The enterprise view comes down.
Each plant runs B2MES on its own edge server and keeps producing even when the link to the enterprise is down. B2MES syncs its production, performance, quality, energy and asset data to B2MDL. B2MDL holds the enterprise solutions and the consolidated record of every plant, and your AI platform connects to it.

The two products are designed to be used together, but each is a complete platform in its own right.
How multi-plant MES data reaches B2MDL, and what comes back: each plant runs B2MES on its own edge server and syncs natively, both ways, with the enterprise's B2MDL. Plant data goes up to be consolidated for the enterprise solutions, reporting and the AI platform; enterprise data, specifications and decisions come back down to the plants.
